The Fashion Group of South Florida had the honor to have Simon Doonan at the prestigious Soho Beach House in Miami Beach. During the FGI Tastemakers series, Simon presented his most recent publication: “Transformer: A Story of Glitter, Glam Rock and Loving Lou Reed.” Simon is the author of many other books including, How To Be Yourself, DRAG: The Complete Story, and Keith Haring.
A long-standing member of the fashion community, Simon was awarded the prestigious CFDA award for his work as Creative Director for Barneys New York. He is a judge on the Emmy-nominated NBC series ‘Making It.’ Simon lives in the USA with his partner, the ceramicist and designer Jonathan Adler, and their rescue mutt Foxylady.
