Ido Segev, the founder of Odis, embarked on a unique journey that led him from web design to fashion entrepreneurship. His brand, Odis, is a celebration of individuality and the connection between art and clothing. Ido’s passion for fashion and self-expression through clothing was ignited at a young age.

At 23, he made the bold decision to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams and opened his first urban fashion store. It was here that his ideas began to take shape, and his love for design blossomed as he created his first caps, falling in love with the creative process from sketch to final product. This journey of self-discovery and passion led him to specialize in fashion design, culminating in the birth of Odis.

Layers

The new collection is a deep dive into the intricate and often misunderstood world of mental struggles that many face today. Each look is a poignant symbol of an emotional challenge, shedding light on the darkness and celebrating the strength and resilience of those who not only live with but also conquer these difficulties.

The brand’s gothic style is a defining feature of the ‘Layers’ collection. It emerges through a distinct color palette that moves between black, white, gray, and red. These colors are also reflected in the accessories, makeup, and hairstyles. Every outfit carries deep symbolism, intertwining stories of struggle and resilience. This aesthetic fuses the edge of street fashion with dark, gothic undertones, where every piece reflects personal expression and the raw power of overcoming inner struggles.

Emotions & Protection

As highlighted by the collection’s name, layering plays a pivotal role, reflecting the depth of emotions and the desire for protection. These multiple layers represent the barriers people build to shield themselves, creating safe spaces against vulnerability.

The collection also explores the tension between opposites, contrasting textures, and materials to reflect the duality of inner struggles. This opposition mirrors the complexity of conflict and the reconciliation process, where contrasts coexist and create unexpected harmony. These elements express finding balance and beauty amidst adversity.

Peace Through Acceptance

The narrative is further reinforced by the use of dramatic silhouettes and cuts. The exaggerated shoulder pads are a powerful symbol of the weight of mental burdens and the strength that comes from confronting them. The high collars, which obscure the face and leave only the eyes visible, evoke the suffocating pressure of struggles and the truth that is revealed through one’s gaze. These elements are a testament to the brand’s commitment to empowering its wearers.

Every detail tells the story of living with shadows and, in some cases, overcoming them. The beauty lies in embracing the struggle, finding strength in the darkness, and achieving inner peace through acceptance.
