Lola Casamount is a leading design brand founded in Spain 40 years ago by Lola herself. Maite, the designer’s runway line, is not just a name, but a symbol of family and tradition. It is named after Lola’s daughter, Maite Casamount, who later joined the company after finishing her design studies, bringing a fresh perspective and youthful energy to the brand.
Lola’s unwavering enthusiasm and ambition propelled her from selling her creations in local shops to establishing a national brand. Her hand-crafted clothes and use of top-quality materials, coupled with her meticulous attention to detail, have always set her apart.
Lola and Maite have infused a non-conforming and enterprising spirit with a creative capacity to dress women in a style that is truly unique. Since 2018, Maite Casademunt has led the company as the chairwoman and creative director, combining the brand’s 40-year heritage with her own enthusiasm, originality, and unique vision.
The most current collection is inspired by traditional Japanese culture, with geishas as the main characters. The femininity, delicacy, and maximum attention to detail that geishas emanate come to life in garments with floral details and shine, fluid and structured shapes at the same time, and vibrant colors, typical of the quintessential Japanese garment, kimonos.

The Geisha Inspiration
The collection uses fluid and delicate fabrics contrasted with more structured and casual materials. The outfits are detailed with collars and stitched elements, contrasting pieces, embroidery, and lacing that combine the iconic garments of the collection with the traditional elements of typical Geisha attire. Wide volumes in skorts, dropped sleeves, garments with a lot of flow… All this is combined with fitted dresses, reinforced garments, and geometric patterns.
The collection’s color palette is quite clever. It uses a foundation combination of deep, lush red, blush pinks, and soft beiges. The collection then uses pops of orange, which reminds one of koi, as well as sky blue and verdant green. One can imagine gorgeous geishas walking through meticulous gardens under a light blue sky.

Traditional and Contemporary
In the same way, accessories complete these outfits in which the okobo, the typical sandals of these artists of dance, music and literature, as well as sashes and belts made with the collection’s colors and prints, combined between each other, simulating the obis that accompany the geisha kimonos.
One look that could symbolize the collection was a long tan dress with a structured bodice resembling a temple’s outlines with straight lines. The skirt flowed like the robe it was based on and was accessorized with a bright red belt similar to a sash and a matching red handbag.

Another outfit resembled a long casual evening robe that perhaps mimicked what a geisha might wear in her leisure time. The floral fabric was a beautiful combination of light blue and green, giving the impression of a cool pool peeking through a lush garden. It is a collection in which the most traditional Japanese designs are translated into a contemporary, fresh, and sophisticated style.
