Habey Club is a Spanish fashion brand created by designers David Salvador and Javier Zunzunegu. They believe in making clothes slowly and responsibly, focusing on craftsmanship and using materials that are good for the environment, such as recycled fabrics and organic fibers. Their fashion ideas come from all sorts of places, like art and movies. They turn these ideas into clothes, paying attention to details like colors, textures, and accessories. They also believe accessories, like bags and jewelry, are just as important as the clothes themselves.

The Illusion of Transformation

Their newest collection, ‘Side Effects’, presented on the final day of 080 Barcelona Fashion Week, was inspired by a Norwegian movie called “Sick of Myself.” In this collection, they play with different materials and designs. For example, they incorporate feathers under puffy jackets and add piercings to clothes to give them a unique look. Side effects is a clear example of how we focus on pleasing, on fitting in, on blurring our boundaries and drawing new ones, all with the aim of transforming ourselves and projecting something new, something remote from our true selves.

Through their artistry and attention to detail, Salvador and Zunzunegu have once again proven that fashion is not just about clothes. It’s a form of self-expression and empowerment. The audience was captivated by the vibrant energy of the runway, where models confidently showcased the latest collection. Their diverse representation echoed Habey Club’s commitment to inclusivity and self-expression, resonating with spectators who found inspiration in seeing themselves reflected on the runway. It was a powerful reminder that fashion has the power to unite us all, celebrating our individuality and empowering us to embrace our true selves.
