It is not easy these days to be different in good taste – and to dare to show it. For the Austrian textile company HANRO, which has a long history and special expertise, this has always been a matter of course. However, with HANRO atelier, a new label has been established that goes even further and sets new standards for the most refined special collections.

HANRO atelier: think of it as a specially designed place of encounter. Like-minded people get together and dialogue with each other. Artists, creators, and designers who want to meet on the same level with the same understanding of quality, authenticity, and understated timeless elegance.

With the Milanese fashion designer Arthur Arbesser, who is also of Austrian origin, HANRO has invited the internationally award-winning designer to join forces for the first time.

Confidence and Style Beyond Gender Boundaries

In the unisex collection, the shared love for discreet craftsmanship comes into play in the service of the wearer, whose personality they support. At the center is clothing that wants to be worn and for which quality, elegance, a clear cut, a sense of tailoring, and style are important – in a wide and understandable sense.

Clothing is not only a purely functional product; it is, above all, an expression of a way of life, an attitude, and a culture. The well-groomed consumer, whether they are fashionable or discreet in their taste, is also an expression of their identity.

Cool in clean cuts and geometric shapes, often with an unexpected contrast between transparency and light, supple fabric textures, and embroidery details, this collection is very much about attitude and attitude.

The often expressive and art-inspired handwriting of the Milanese fashion designer Arthur Arbesser, known for his striking takes on menswear, pairs with HANRO’s refined classicism to create an exciting tension – a sense of good proportion, a poetic play of lines that is subtle but also exciting.

The highly distinctive grid pattern designed by Arbesser for the collection is also a metaphor for this: order and creativity, but also solidity and lightness, and, of course, a sophisticated, very grown-up sense of style.

The 15-piece collection, all unisex, is also characterized by this alliance: from elegant house dresses and day dresses to tablecloths or rompers and blouses with an unmistakable Arbersser touch – comfort and style are no contradiction in terms here. This capsule collection is not only timeless but also wearable in a very contemporary sense.

Dialogue of Identities

In addition to the obvious affinity between the two companies in terms of understanding, design, and style, the common Austrian roots of HANRO and Arbesser play an important role here. HANRO is based in Vorarlberg. Arbesser was born in Vienna and lives in Milan, and both are deeply connected to Austrian roots.

The collection can be found in selected HANRO stores in Munich, Vienna, Zurich, Rome, New York, and Beverly Hills, as well as in the HANRO online shop.
