I wasn’t able to attend 080 Barcelona Fashion Week in person this year, but I made sure to watch the show online. Honestly, I really wish I had been there. While looking through the collections, I came across Capriccio per Benavente by Paco Benavente, and I felt an instant connection. It really stood out to me, and I just had to write about it.

Paco Benavente, the creative person behind the Valencian brand, started learning pattern making and fashion in Valencia. His designs focus on clean shapes and good quality. They are based on traditional techniques but with a modern, softer style in men’s clothing that I find refreshing.

Recently, Benavente has been showing a softer and more thoughtful idea of masculinity in his collections. One that is romantic, expressive, and flexible. His clothes don’t just follow the latest trends; they connect with personal identity and feelings, something many people can relate to.

A Romantic Take

The name “Capriccio per Benavente” comes from a 17th-century musical style known for creativity and freedom. While the models walked down the runway showcasing the collection, classical music played in the background, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The colors were especially beautiful, soft beiges, whites, and warm tones that gave the collection a fresh, happy feeling.

One look caught my attention: a beige jacket decorated with delicate white flower details, paired with matching pants. It looked effortlessly stylish, but you could tell a lot of care went into it. I really wished I could have it in my wardrobe! The model added a special touch by carrying a doll wrapped in flowers, which brought an interesting and subtle detail to the look.

What impressed me most about this collection was that it gave more than just clothes; it showed personality and thought. You could really see the mix of creativity and skill in every piece. Paco Benavente is definitely someone to keep an eye on, especially if you like fashion that is expressive, meaningful, and a bit different.
