In 2019, two friends from Barcelona decided to join forces and turn their shared, elegant, and cosmopolitan vision of fashion into a tangible reality. Thus, The Label Edition was born, a brand created by sophisticated, hard-working women, for women who embody the same spirit.

Beyond the Cliché

Véronique Vaillant von Siebenthal and Laura Johansson managed to carve out a space in Spain for curated fashion: carefully considered, delicate, and imbued with a profound sense of purpose. Today, we have the immense pleasure of seeing their designs take the runway at MBFWM, with their Spring/Summer 2026 collection, a proposal inspired by Japan, yet one that moves beyond the clichés we usually expect when that cultural reference is involved.

Shapes, textures, shadows, silhouettes, and even colors drawn from both the emotional and visual landscapes of Japan make this collection an homage to the hidden, the balanced, and the artisanal. The proposal features functional, contemporary designs infused with traces of tradition, all finished with handcrafted details, stitching, cords, buttons, that draw from ancestral techniques such as Shibori and Wabi-sabi.

The color palette brings these references to life on the runway: natural tones inspired by the landscape itself, vivid indigos, earthy shades like deep orange, alongside greens, powdery pinks, yellows, and whites, colors that speak above all of summer’s light and vitality.

One notable element of the show was the diversity of the models: varied in both race and age, they reflected the brand’s inherently feminine nature, as well as the accessibility and versatility of its designs. Indeed, many of the pieces could be considered wardrobe essentials for the archetypal woman who identifies with The Label Edition’s ethos.

A project by women, for women, in the very best sense of the phrase.
