In 2008, I was working in Geneva and got myself Invited to the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie now named Watches & Wonders. Little I know, I was stepping into a realm where dreams took shape. It was there that I discovered the fascinating world of watchmakers and met some of the most amazing artisans.
The first creation that mesmerized me was Van Cleef and Arpels’ Pont des Amoureux, a discovery of the brand long legacy of poetic watchmaking. Their Pont des Amoureux timepiece serves as a quintessential example of a dream brought to life. Inspired by the enchantment of nature’s dance, this exquisite creation showcases a scene where two lovers meet on a serene pont at midnight. At the heart of this charming timepiece lies the dream of harmony and beauty.

MB&F, an acronym for Maximilian Büsser & Friends, embodies a collective dream shared by a group of innovative minds. At the head this team sit Max Busser. As a kid, his dream was to become a car designer and after finishing is master’s degree in engineering found himself working to save a small watch company called Jaeger Le Coultre. 7 year later he joined Harry Winston to work with a mighty team to create the Iconic Opus 5.
Max’s dream was to create and work with like-minded person. From there, he created MB&F and find happiness creating horological creations that break free from convention and embrace the avant-garde. Each MB&F timepiece challenges the boundaries of imagination, often resembling futuristic mechanical sculptures that adorn the wrist. The dream of MB&F lies in pushing the limits of what is deemed possible in watchmaking, embracing unconventional materials, and intertwining art with mechanics.
Greubel Forsey: No Boundaries
