They’re in the memories we make, the fleeting moments of love and laughter, joy and heartbreak frozen in time. This t-shirt has one of those stories woven into its very fabric.
It all started with an editorial photoshoot. A collection of images, each one perfectly curated, lit, and posed, for a client’s Valentine’s Day magazine edition. The photographer was about to select his favorite photos from the shoot and send them to the client when he paused and scrolled back through the selection. Hidden amongst the hundreds of posed and ready for retouching photos was one single frame. Just one photo out of the hundreds the photographer takes in a session that he fell in love with, over and over again.
The frame didn’t show the idealized image of romance the client wanted; instead, it was a completely unscripted moment of raw and honest affection. A look, a touch, a click, and in that one frame, the photographer was reminded of what love really looks like.
Years went by, and the photo was forgotten. Sitting in a folder on the photographer’s desktop, unseen, it collected digital dust. This year, he found it again. With careful consideration, we’ve finally brought this private and beautiful image to life in all of its original raw glory.
The Unspoken Valentine is a celebration of the real things in life, and all of the quiet magic that goes unnoticed.
