Although I couldn’t attend 080 Barcelona Fashion Week in person, I watched Nathalie Chandler’s latest collection, ‘A Fleur de Peau’, online, and it was definitely worth it. The runway opened with red lights as a model attempted to start a motorbike engine. This created a strong and exciting start before she smoothly got off and walked the runway. The lighting throughout the show was striking and energetic, with red lights contributing to a cool, dynamic atmosphere that made each look even more exciting to watch.

The models opened the show in all-black looks, with color gradually introduced as the collection progressed. My favorite piece was a brown leather jacket that zipped up to the neck, paired with a matching leather skirt. I also liked one of the oversized cardigans, which brought a cool, effortless edge to the runway.

Where Precision and Boldness Halt Time

The collection featured many different jackets in various styles, some oversized and some fitted. Even though this was a women’s collection, many of these jackets could work for anyone, regardless of gender. The dark green jacket paired with army pants was another standout look for me. The way the designer put each outfit together was simply stunning. Each piece felt carefully thought out. It combined both comfort and boldness, which makes the collection very wearable while still making a statement.

Nathalie Chandler presents a vision of the future, where time seems to pause between the elegance of design and the fast pace of what’s ahead. A Fleur de Peau does not portray a dark or scary future but rather a new era where fashion’s strength comes from precision, structure, and surprising beauty.

I’m really happy I discovered Nathalie Chandler’s style through this beautiful collection and eager to see what she does next. Her work shows a great balance between innovation and timelessness, promising exciting things for the future of fashion.
