When Teté by Odette, the prêt-à-porter label by Odette Álvarez, was born, its first and most essential filter was her circle of friends. They spent their days admiring, plus yearning to wear each of the designs emerging from Odette’s imagination, offering key insights that would ultimately shape the brand’s trajectory
Femininity & Energy
Today, Odette’s proposal at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid has become a staple of the week, standing as an ambassador of freshness, elegance, and youth. Personally, I have always believed the designer knows exactly how to encapsulate three defining concepts: femininity, innovation, and trend.

No one ever quite knows what to expect from her shows, and that feeling of arriving at the venue without any expectations is precisely what makes the experience so multisensory. On this occasion, the runway opened with a fluid mint-green satin blouse, tied at the waist, with sleeves that draped delicately along the model’s body, revealing a black floral lace mini skirt beneath. Flanking the entrance, two wooden arches wrapped in bougainvillea framed a sign that read “Club Paraíso”, a detail that recalled what seems to be a recurring element of this edition: the islands.

The collection unfolded in a palette of black and white, pastel yet vibrant satins, floral lace, and airy silhouettes that elevated halter-neck and strapless dresses to new heights. Colorful beading dresses, bold shoulder pads, asymmetric blazers, and metallic pieces blended among crochet and crisp white linen, all came together in a lineup that left me convinced: one summer a year is simply not enough. I need two. This was a proposal bursting with color, femininity, daring energy, and delicate shadows, reminding us of the importance of embracing what is new without ever compromising on elegance.
