Experiencia Existencia: Waiting for the Rain
A few months ago, someone told me one of those classic phrases people say to a friend who isn’t having the best time: “No rain, no flowers.” At that moment, despite all the other positive things life and the people around me were putting in my path, that phrase stuck with me right away. It seemed exactly the message I needed to hear.
In these past few months, I’ve had time to think about it. Can my life be compared to a seed? Could rain be more than just a natural phenomenon? Will it come when it’s supposed to? Or, on the contrary, will there be a drought that wipes out the plan entirely? If you’ve ever had similar doubts, you probably remember in detail that feeling of weariness every time someone promises you, as if they actually could, that things will get better, that what you’re waiting for will eventually come, and that whatever you fear, whether it happens or not, you’ll be able to get through it.

As if the world weren’t full of people waking up every day to spend their time at a job they hate; as if there weren’t couples broken by the impossibility of conceiving; as if we didn’t fill clinics trying to forget the parts of ourselves we never learned to accept…
Today, I think that, regardless of personal circumstances, the mind has pathways and patterns that are unusually common to all of us, and that, despite uncertainty, we always end up finding small clues in the randomness of life that allow us to trust, to a greater or lesser extent, one of those self-help phrases. In my case, I can’t say that it has naturally rained on me, but I’ve definitely found someone who has held a watering can over me in a very special way: she is Guillermina Neri.
A few months ago, we published at AVESSA about Experiencia Alquimizarte, one of her beautiful projects, an immersive, holistic experience that allows people to improve their inner selves through an integrated program of art, yoga, exercise, and healthy food… Today, in a way, we experienced her constant evolution, her unique way of reaching for new spaces, so that she can then lovingly accompany all the people around her.
Guillermina appeared in my life like a coincidence too perfectly orchestrated: she arrived at exactly the right moment, precisely when she was meant to, exactly when I was ready to receive her. She is originally from Argentina, coincidentally like someone very special to me, and she has devoted her body and soul to art for much of her life. Among her many achievements, what stands out is the way she has, in very special ways, brought art into everyday life, helping people connect with their essential selves and teaching us that art in daily life is one of the most perfect ways to enjoy this earthly experience.
With an astrologer mother and an urgent need to understand herself fully, Guillermina realized very early in life that we are all swept along by the current, layering ourselves and embodying different roles to be accepted, professions, qualities, states of being… And all of this only makes us lose our essence, preventing us from truly connecting with who we really are.
After experimenting and dedicating all her time to various projects related to art, self-knowledge, and especially helping people in transitional stages of life (recent retirees or ages where finding work can be challenging), Guillermina decided to embark on a journey in which she not only provides crucial support to connect with your inner self, but also acts as that missing piece in the puzzle of life, unexpectedly making everything make sense, easing fears, and bringing to light everything you thought you knew about yourself in the most faithful and simple way possible…
She describes this project, Experiencia Existencia (Experience Existence), as a path of emotions, a fusion between astrology (an archetypal language) and art. She has created a beautiful way to integrate astrology in a personalized consultation, which speaks to the unconscious, with “therapy,” which addresses our more conscious patterns. She offers a space for reflection together, taking as a starting point who you are in the unconscious, and then providing support to transform certain patterns…
A few days ago, I had the pleasure of experiencing this new “workshop.” For this, Guillermina only asked me for two pieces of information: my exact time and place of birth. Two details that allowed her to draw a precise birth chart, a map of the sky at the exact moment I was born. As someone obsessed with the vital phenomenon, by that moment, she already had me completely captivated. There is a huge misconception that astrology predicts the future – it doesn’t. Guillermina clarifies that we are the owners of our own destinies – astrology provides us with the tools to better understand ourselves so we can reshape our future.
A few days later, we met so she could go through, in exquisite detail, in a conversation of about two and a half hours, the messages and insights my birth chart revealed about me, details about my personality that have largely been buried under the relentless frenzy of adult life…
The prologue accompanying the written report of my chart immediately struck me as beautiful: “I wanted to put into writing, as a reminder, the most positive characteristics of your personality and the energies most present in your birth chart so that you can activate and develop your best potential.” It felt like a hug, like the gentle push that accompanied all the information I was about to receive about myself.
The conversation began with a small talk to get to know her a little better, to understand her reasons, and the steps she had taken to arrive at this very conversation with me.
As we started delving into the session, aspects, zones, and details from my birth chart gradually emerged, which indeed reflected, with complete authenticity, traits of my personality that I had always known but never truly examined.
As we continued, the structure of the session was guided by the exact positions of certain planets at the moment of my birth: “Sun in…” “Venus in…” “Mars in…” It is precisely these positions that, in cosmic language, allow Guillermina to see certain information which, combined with the right questions and the appropriate thread, work perfectly to weave an extremely personalized “therapy” session, a session of self-knowledge and deep reflection so detailed that I naturally needed days and nights to process and reconcile it with the preconceived notions of myself that I had been cultivating for years… Many times we’ve heard that it’s often easier to open up and vent to people who are distant from our immediate circle, or even almost strangers, than to someone who already knows us well.
Personally, I embody this statement; there’s nothing I enjoy more than showing everything I have, everything I am, and everything I think to a person completely new to my life, in order to listen attentively to what they think about it.
For me, this is incredibly refreshing; it’s a small way of rediscovering myself through new eyes. So, you can imagine, dear reader, what this session meant to me, a session in which I entrusted Guillermina with details about myself, my dreams, my aspirations, and experiences that not many people close to me know, all so that she could not only give me her perspective but also analyze it from its foundation, my birth chart… An absolutely sensory and beautiful experience, a two-hour session that has since shaped 100% of my week, of my days. A session that allowed me to reconnect with myself, to rediscover myself, to look at myself with care and tenderness, and to trust again that everything I do from my most sincere impulse is backed by the certainty that it is genuine, that it is truly mine.
