Agatha Ruiz de la Prada presented her latest collection, “Nature in a Visceral State,” at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. The collection is inspired by her own creative world, but with a more modern twist. It feels like a journey of self-exploration, where she revisits her most recognizable designs and updates them using new tools like Artificial Intelligence.
Her signature shapes, such as hearts, stars, clouds, and geometric patterns, appear throughout the collection. However, she reimagines them in fresh and unexpected ways. The designs feel innovative while still capturing the bright, playful, and optimistic spirit that defines her brand. As a result, the collection creates a clear dialogue between tradition and innovation.
Accessories bring an added sense of personality. Hair pieces, floral details, bags, and sunglasses complete the looks and enhance the collection’s energetic mood.
Color stands out as one of the most striking elements of the new collection. Bright, vivid, and neon tones energize the runway and give the collection a strong visual identity. For example, the blue dress with red polka dots is particularly memorable, while mismatched shoes add a playful touch.
The show also includes moments of humor and surprise. At one point, a model walks down the runway carrying a tray with a cake, adding a lighthearted detail.
Hearts appear repeatedly throughout the collection, reinforcing a key element of the designer’s identity. Overall, this motif ties the collection together and keeps it grounded in her signature style.
